Every Trail Starts Somewhere

The Right Gear For Every Trail Together.

Ireland Outdoors, Built Around Your Dog

Two Retrievers and a Pair of Boots

Happy dog sitting in a park with a red harness in Bogotá, Colombia.

started TTT with two retrievers, a solid pair of boots,  The more trails we walked together — muddy paws, wagging tails, kids piling out ready for whatever was ahead — the more I heard the same things from other dog owners and families:

  • Where can we go?
  • What gear is worth it?
  • Where can we stay that actually welcomes dogs?

TTT is everything I’ve learned turned into practical help for anyone who wants to get outside with their dog and their people. Dog-friendly routes across all 32 counties, traffic-free greenways, coastal walks, honest recommendations for camping, glamping, van life, and stays that work for the whole family dogs very much included.

Local knowledge. Trail gear. Smart nutrition for big adventure days.

Boots on. Leads ready. Muddy paws welcome.

The Main Problem Dog Owners Face in Ireland

Many dog lovers want to enjoy the outdoors hiking mountains, exploring coastlines, biking greenways, wild camping, or taking weekend road trips together with their dogs. But they constantly run into these frustrations.

Guesswork and lack of reliable information It’s hard to know which trails, beaches, forests, or campsites actually welcome dogs. Many say “no dogs” or stay silent on the topic entirely.

Restrictions and exclusions Popular hiking trails, national parks, and accommodations either ban dogs, have strict rules, or only tolerate them. You find out when you arrive.

Seasonal restrictions nobody warns you about Most beaches ban dogs from May to September. Most owners discover this in the car park.

Safety uncertainty Ticks, livestock fields, cliff paths, dangerous tides, and rip currents at swimming spots. Dog owners rarely know what they’re walking into until something goes wrong.

Lead law confusion What’s mandatory, what’s discretionary, where dogs must be on leads and why nobody explains it clearly.

Crowds and limited options Truly dog-friendly, uncrowded, wild experiences exist across Ireland but are scattered and almost impossible to discover.

Planning hassle Finding dog-friendly stays, safe swimming spots, and routes that work for both of you takes hours of searching with mixed and outdated results.

The guilt loop The real cost. Owners end up leaving their dog behind, choosing lesser walks, or arriving stressed instead of ready. The dog becomes a source of anxiety instead of the whole reason for going.
